Hijab victory: Allah’s statements ‘ll ever prevail – MSSN Ojokoro

The entire members and executives of Mssn Ojokoro Area Council will remain thankful to Allah for His continuous victory for Muslims on hijab court case. Also our congratulation goes to Dr. Saheed Ashafa, MSSNLagos; lead Counsel Adetola Kazeem (SAN); and the entire Muslim Community in Lagos State for their enduring support on the Hijab Case.

This congratulation is coming on the heel of the milestone crossed today Tuesday, 7th February, 2017 as the Lagos Court of Appeal  in a judgement which struck out the motion seeking an injunction to stop the use of hijab in Lagos by the Lagos State Government.

We recall the case, CA/L/135/15, between the Lagos State Government, Miss Asiyat Abdulkareem, Miss Moriam Oyeniyi and Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria which went in favour of Muslim Students Society of Nigeria. The Lagos State government, having felt a deep melancholy by the judgement of the court of appeal went ahead to seek injunction for the stoppage of hijab use. Alas! hijab has come to stay. We associate with MSSNLagos and Dr. Ashafa on this footprints for Muslims to tread in the defence of their divine given right instead of utter disregard for the rule of law and breach of constitution shown by some other people.

A coward they say dies many times before he is killed, this is the time for Muslims sisters to stand out in obedience to their Lord. To seek more knowledge on the right usage of hijab, wear it by dressing up and not make-up and to be ever ready to correct and educate the masses on misconception of women enslavement and terrorism attributed to it.
