COHI congratulates UNILAG graduands on convocation
In a matter of hours, thousands of former undergraduates would officially, become graduates of the University of Lagos, for the 2014/2015 session.
The sojourn and strides by various students which started 4,5,6 or 7 years ago as a freshman in the University would come to a halt as the University would be honouring them with their various degrees.
It is noteworthy to mention that a feat, never achieved by any student in any Nigerian university was surpassed by a student of UNILAG, Daniel Dada Ayodele, Psychology Department, who would be graduating with a total of 5.0 CG PA which is the maximum available grading point by the University.
This achievement reminds us that impossibility should never be in the dictionary of any individual as records are always set and can always be broken.
As released by the University, a total of 5,472 students would graduate. This sends a message to the Government that there would be increase in the ever-expanding labour market as students would want to put their degree to use.
COHI-Council Of Higher Institutions, an organ of Muslim Students Society of Nigeria, Lagos state Area unit, therefore, uses this opportunity to urge the Government to keep up their good work and look into increasing employment opportunities as this would reduce idle hands popularly referred to as ‘the devil’s workshop ‘.
COHI also wishes to congratulate the students on their convocation and also felicitate with the university community. The students should also remember to be good ambassadors of the University and the society at large.
Congratulations once again!
