New Hijab verdict ‘ll stop victimisation of Muslim students – MSSN Ogijo

Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, Ogijo Area Council commends Dr. Saheed Ashafa, the entire cabinet of Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, Lagos State Area Unit and the Muslim Communities in Lagos State for their support on the Hijab case. May Allah continue to strengthen the Ummah and Crowned our effort with success (Amin).

As the court of appeal has struck out the motion seeking an injunction  to stop the use of hijab in Lagos State, our hope is that victimisation of Muslim students for wearing Hijab will end totally.

We urge the Imams, Islamic Scholars to use the power of Mimbar to disseminate the information to the public so that the Muslims will be aware.

All stakeholders like Teachers, parents, Imams and Islamic Scholars should encourage their children and students to put on Hijab starting from tomorrow in order to create the awareness to the public and encourage them not to panic or nurse any fear.

We implore the Lagos State Government to respect this verdict and warn teachers against further harassment of our members for wearing Hijab to school.
