MSSN Itire Ikate wants quick implementation of hijab verdict

MSSN Itire Ikate Area Council heartly felicitates with the leadership of MSSN Lagos State Area Unit, led by the ever vibrant Dr Saheed Afolabi Ashafa on the yet another victory for Hijab at the Court of Appeal.

Earlier today (Tuesday), the Lagos Division of the Appeal court struck out the motion of stay of execution filed by the Lagos state government, after the Court of Appeal had initially granted the Muslim students their constitutional right to use the hijab on 27th July 2016.

With this judgement, we enjoin the state government and the general public implement and to be truthful to this judgement by not denying our Muslim sisters and daughters in primary and secondary schools their rights to dorn the hijab on their uniforms.

We equally call on our female muslim students to feel confident to dorn their hijabs while on their uniforms as we are certain that their school authorities will respect the decision of the court.

Once again, we congratulate the leadership of the Ashafa-led MSSN Lagos and the entire Muslim Ummah on this long deserving victory. It’s indeed victory for Islam; victory to Muslims. May Allah reward everyone who contributed to this success.
