Hijab victory: MSSN Orile Agege implores teachers to be law abiding
It is with great joy and gratitude to the almighty Allah we received the Court of Appeal judgement delivered on Tuesday 7th February 2017 by Justice Muhammad Lawal Garba which struck out the motion to stop the use of hijab in the public schools in Lagos State.
We, the executives and the entire members of MSSN Orile Agege Area Council hereby congratulate the Amir (president) of our peace and law abiding organisation, Dr Saheed Ashafa, members of the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, Lagos State Area Unit and the entire Muslim community for this resounding victory at the appeal court.
We hereby implore all stakeholders including principals and teachers of public schools to be law abiding and stop all forms of intimidation and harassment of Muslim students because of hijab.
We also enjoin our Muslim sisters to be law abiding and stick to all the moral teachings of Islam while decently using their hijab without fear.
Signed
Masud Daramola
