Hijab victory: MSSN Ikeja warns against further molestation of hijab wearing students

MSSN, IKEJA AREA COUNCIL FELICITATES WITH DR SAHEED ASHAFA (PRESIDENT, MSSN LAGOS STATE AREA UNIT) ON LATEST APPEAL COURT RULING

Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, Ikeja Area Council felicitates with Dr. Saheed Ashafa, the entire cabinet of Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, Lagos State Area Unit and the Muslim Ummah of Lagos State for their support on the Hijab case.

As the court of appeal strikes out the motion seeking an injunction  to stop the use of hijab in Lagos State, we pray that the embarrassment and victimisation of Muslim students for wearing Hijab will come to an end, thereby respecting the fundamental human rights of the Muslims.

We urge the Imams, Islamic Scholars and all stakeholders to be law abiding as they encourage their children to wear hijab to schools.

We are using this medium to call on the Lagos State Government to respect this verdict and warn teachers in public schools against further harassment/molestation of our members in schools simply because they put on hijab.
