Hijab case: Another victory to celebrate, says MSSN Ikorodu West

We received the warm news about the judgement of the appeal court, yet again, upholding the previous judgement of Justice Gumel led Court of Appeal.

Despite the previous victory at the Court of Appeal, the Lagos state had appealed for injunction to stop execution of the judgement pending the outcome of the Supreme Court verdict.

The delay to have our members wear hijab on their school uniform has come to an end.

To this end, we congratulate our amiable amir of the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria, Lagos State Area Unit, Dr. Saheed Ashafa, the Muslim community in Lagos State and all well wishers for this joint victory.

We wish to seek the support of all stakeholders in our area council to mobilise our students to wear hijab on their uniforms in all the primary and  secondary schools under Ikorodu West.
